To visit Santa and the Bright Lights at Stanley Park

Today was the first Saturday in a LONG time that Glen didn't have any homework (woohoo!!) so we had a great family day together. First we went to metrotown to see Santa. We were in line for over an hour, so we took advantage of the great decorations to take some pictures... I think we got some cute ones! Then we went to Stanley Park to see the Christmas light displays. All in all, a very fun day!

Baby About Town

On Sunday Isla and I went downtown to check out the Santa Claus Parade. It was crazy with soo many people, so we decided not to stay long, and hung out in the mall instead. Next year we'll know to arrive early to get a good seat!

Saturday night we had some company-- Glen's grandparents, aunt Sheila, uncle Kevin and cousin Mike. It was so nice to see them again. And of course Isla was quite happy to be the center of attention--again!

With Love From Grandma Eileen

We got an exciting parcel in the mail yesterday-- Isla's new crib set handmade by Grandma Eileen!! Crib skirt, bumper pad, quilt and sheets, all so beautiful and soft. We got Isla her new mobile today, so she has been spending alot of time in her crib today, totally cozy and enjoying her new toy.

Beautiful day

Today was such a beautiful day, so after church this morning I decided to take Isla to Queen's Park. We had fun hanging out together enjoying the sunshine... and Isla even got to try out the swings for the first time!

Home again--all tuckered out

Hello

Well, Cassie has been trying to convince me to start a blog for awhile now, so I guess it is finally time to give it a try. Not nearly as fancy as hers, of course, but mostly just something that all my friends and family can keep up to date on what is going on Isla's life. Time is going by so fast and she is growing and changing so much every day. So many people have said to me, "I really don't remember what my kids were like at that age," and I really want to remember this precious stage. So I am going to start documenting our life, for those who don't get to share every day with Isla, but mostly for Glen and I, so we can remember.

So let me start at the beginning with a few pictures of our little one.

Welcome, welcome Isla!
